Dune is Turning One!
They say time flies when you’re having fun, but what about when you’re living out your dream?
What about when you’re pulling solo all nighters, creating mood boards on Pinterest, doubting yourself, sourcing makers and artists, doubting yourself again and finally building a team?
Yeah, time flies during all of those moments too.
We can’t believe that it’s been an entire year.
Ladies and gentleman, Dune Gift + Home is officially one year old! Well, on November 16th, but you get the point.
(Remember that date - there just might be something special planned! More on that later.)
It’s been a year of growth, of worry, of finding out what works and what doesn’t, and of never ending support from the Stoughton community and Dune fans around the world.
We truly, truly can’t thank you enough for continuing to believe in us. It goes without saying, but we couldn’t do this without your encouragement, your heart eye emojis on Instagram, and your decision to walk through the doors of Dune, ready to be surprised by all of the treasures you’re about to find.
With you along for the ride, we’ve been able to achieve so much. Here are a few highlights from the past year:
Dune now has 5 team members who work in the shop, maintain our brand, and create content that keeps you inspired
We’ve hosted over 10 events at Dune, including popups with florists, vintage resalers, and clean beauty entrepreneurs
Dune has been mentioned in major media publications such as Isthmus, Madison Magazine, and Origin Magazine
We expanded our retail displays into the back of our shop, adding significant square footage which allowed us to carry even more curated home goods, gifts and now even some clothing!
To celebrate the first anniversary of opening Dune, we couldn’t just create a blog post and talk about it on social media.
The heart of Dune Gift + Home is our shop in Stoughton, the place where the magic happens. For our first birthday, we wanted to bring everyone together in this incredible space to take part in the fun.
Please join us Saturday, November 16th from 5-8 p.m. for Dune’s anniversary party. We’re thrilled to be hosting this celebration, an appreciation event if you will, right in the shop, where you can enjoy some sips and treats as you peruse the latest offerings from our artists, makers, and small business owners.
Here’s the kicker: we’re giving you 25% off all vintage goods during the event. From home goods and vintage furniture to clothing with a unique past, you’re sure to walk away with a physical reminder of this night, this moment that we’ve set aside to slow down and celebrate how far we’ve come.
One year later, all we can say is thank you. This little shop on Main Street in Stoughton started out as a dream, something to write in a notebook or maybe on a list of goals. We couldn’t have imagined that so much could happen in 365 days. Here’s to the first year of Dune - may there be many, many more.
